Course Description:

This course will examine the historical events and the social impacts they had on America and the World. The time period that we will be covering will be turn of the 20^th century to present day events.

Grading Policy: 

The following grading scale will be in effect in this class:
                        90% -100% = A
                        80% -  89% = B
                        70% -  79% = C
                        60% -  69% = D
                        Below 60% = F

· 90% of grade will be daily work, tests, and assignments

· 10% of grade will be the final exam

Current Events: Students will turn in a current event the last day of the week, every week. The events must be current and summarized in a minimum of three complete sentences. They will be due at the beginning of the hour. Current Events will be labeled CE in the grade book and worth 5 points. These will not accepted late and if a student is absent they will be due at the beginning of the hour the next day they are present.

Classroom Rules:

1. All district and school procedures will be followed in this class.

2. Come to class prepared by pen, and spiral notebook.

3. Courtesy and respect towards other students and teachers is expected.

4. The bell does not dismiss the students. The teacher dismisses the students.

5. Students will be responsible when absent to get the notes, assignments, or any other missed work the next class.
