Food Service Tours Kitchen

Students in first hour food service class recently toured the school cafeteria.  Tour Guide Kim Rogers (formally known as Kitchen Manager)  showed students a complete walk through of the area.  The purpose was for students to recognize sanitation and safety techniques utilized in a non-commercial setting.  We saw how food temperatures, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures were documented.  The design of the room was also created for safety reasons (i.e. chemicals kept in separate area as food).  As a result, students have a new appreciation for our local cooks, and the safety standards they follow.  Thank you for all you do!
