Hewitt and Kern Place 2nd at FCCLA State STAR Events

ReAnna Kern and Chelsey Hewitt both competed Monday, March 30th in Wichita at Kansas FCCLA State STAR Events. STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation. ReAnna and Chelsey competed in the senior division of chapter showcase manual and placed second!! Their project included a 15 minute oral presentation with the game of Monopoly as their theme. Along with their presentation, they displayed a 40-page scrapbook of chapter happenings throughout the year. On February 19th, they received a gold metal for their efforts at the District Level.
