Marshall Elementary

State Awards Marshall Elementary the honor of Standard of Excellence
I am sure many of you have heard of the Kansas State Assessments that most Marshall students are required to take each spring. These are difficult tests for which the state currently requires a minimum of 83.7% of our third though sixth grade students to pass in reading and 82.3% in Math. Last spring 98.4% of our students passed this test in reading and 93.4% passed in math. In fact, so many of our students did so well on these tests that the Kansas State Department of Education has presented Marshall Elementary with the award Standard Of Excellence in both reading and math.
Our students scored passing grades in all eleven categories plus they received Standard of Excellence in nine of the eleven. I would like to congratulate all of our students for their passing scores as well as all of the teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work. I would also like to thank all of the parents for their support during the stressful time of state assessments.
To view these scores go to www.ksde.org and choose the link for Parents. Then look at the Building Report Card. You can also compare any school in the state with Marshall.
