Plant Part Scavenger Hunt

Recognizing plant parts and relating them to their function is
what the sixth grade science students have been working on.
They created plant part scavenger hunts for each other as a
way to practice identifying parts of organisms in the outdoor
classroom.
Students were able to
tell the difference between monocots, dicots, herbacous and woody
stems, gymnosperms and angiosperms by observing the
characteristics of the plant. Recordings were downloaded on
to iPods and the search began!
