MLA Citations

by Sheila Koup

January 25, 2009

The following web sites offer guidelines and/or assistance for creating properly formatted MLA style bibliographic citations and parenthetical citations.

MLA Formatting and Style Guide - OWL at Purdue

Ohio State University

Son of Citation

Son of Citation allows the user to enter the necessary bibliographic information and the web site does the rest for you.  It provides both bibliographic citations and parenthetical citations.

Easy Bib

Easy Bib seems to work much the same way as Son of Citation; however, it does not offer parenthetical citations as part of its service.

Source Aid

This site also seems to create properly formatted MLA citations; however, parenthetical citations are not provided.
