Eureka Science Fair
February 2, 2010

The Eureka Science Fair will be held February 2, 2010 in the small gym at Eureka Jr/Sr High School.    The science fair is open to all students in grades 4-12.  Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders were assigned projects before the winter break.  All students should have their projects to the small gym by noon on February 2nd.  The projects must be set up for the judging to start at 1:00 p.m.  It is asked that no parents or spectators be present during the judging process.   Open house for the Eureka Science Fair is set for 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the evening of February second.  All are invited to attend.

Please come out to see these products of scientific investigations completed by students.  The students are putting a lot of effort and care into their projects.  Projects include the actual experimentation, the project boards, working journals/log books, and a detailed report of their research, the experiment performed, and analysis of data.  Students use many cross-curricular skills including science, math, reading, written communication, computer literacy, and problem solving while completing their projects.  All students that are participating are to be commended for a job well done.

All students that have projects receiving a rating of highly superior will then participate in the Neosho County Community College 2010 Regional Science Fair in Chanute, on February 27, 2010.
