Apple   Curriculum and instruction throughout Eureka School District is designed to increase student achievement and ensure success for all students.

Our elementary curriculum emphasizes mastery of basic skills in reading, math, communication arts, science, social studies, health, art, music, and physical education. Kagan Cooperative Learning structures are implemented within lessons to provide and develop enhanced mastery of subject matter. Our holistic 21st Century Curriculum focuses on improving thinking skills, teambuilding, classbuilding, development of character and social skills, communication skills, positive classroom management and engagement of each of the Multiple Intelligences. A Schoolwide Title and Special Education specialized curriculum is also utilized and managed to meet the needs of individual students.

Our Middle School curriculum and supporting activities are designed to help students enter their teen years with success and confidence. The required curriculum includes courses in social studies, language arts, science, mathematics, physical education and health. Elective classes are available in art, music, foreign language, business, communication arts, keyboarding, family and consumer science, engineering and industrial technology, and band. In addition, a special curriculum is provided for academically gifted students and students needing special education services. Students also receive lessons on character education and drug-abuse resistance skills.

Nearly 50 course offerings are available at Eureka Middle & High School, including vocational, college preparatory, fine arts, practical arts, and physical education. Courses include the areas of communication arts, mathematics, science, social studies, engineering and industrial technology, family and consumer sciences, computers, business education, journalism, internship work programs, technology, physical education and health, band, and choir. Academically challenging courses are available through Advanced Placement (AP), and college-credit and dual-credit courses. Lessons are offered on positive character traits and drug-abuse resistance skills. Full special education services are available for students with disabilities. Students may also choose to enroll in a learning lab, providing a structured study environment.
