Celebration with the Chicken Dance!

Mrs. Schwartz

By Schwartz, Cindy

I was born and raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School.  I graduated from Emporia State University in 1991 with a degree in elementary education, along with an emphasis in special education. I taught children with special needs for two years. Then, was a 2nd grade teacher for two years in the Emporia School District.   In 1994,  I moved back to the Eureka area and taught special education at the high school while earning my masters degree in autism from University of Kansas.   Four years later I had the opportunity to teach 3rd grade alongside my twin sister, Mrs. Spore.  I have been teaching 3rd grade in the Eureka School District for five years.

My husband’s name is Sean.  He is employed by SunGroup in El Dorado.  We have two daughters. Their names are Taylyn and Ashlen. Taylyn is a senior this year, and Ashlen is a sophomore.  I love to spend time with my family and friends, and enjoy watching my girls play sports.
