Fifth Grade Family Fun Night

Fifth Grade Family Night was held on Wednesday, February 1st.  Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader was the theme for the evening.  Our 5th grade teachers wanted parents to encounter a small portion of how their children prepare for the Kansas State Assessment.   To accomplish this, students were given an opportunity to share the experience of taking a formative test on the computer.  Students enjoyed teaching their parents all of the ins and outs of proper test taking practices.  After this time in the lab, both students and parents enjoyed a round of "Quiz, Quiz, Trade"  in the gym to practice prefixes and suffixes.  This activity was set to music. Cookies and lemonade were served to all, and treat bags were sent home with the students.
