Practicing Multiplication

September 12, 2022

One of the biggest concepts we learn is how to multiply and divide. We have been working hard to understand and practice multiplication and a model of multiplication that we work hard on is how to build and interpret an array, and then be able to write a multiplication or division equation to go with the array. Last week we reviewed arrays by playing a Scoot game in class where the students had to “scoot” (or walk) around the room to find a variety of arrays and write a multiplication equation to match the array. The kids had a good time being able to move around the room and socialize with each other, all while reviewing their multiplication facts at the same time. J
