2nd Annual Marshall Library Parade

The Marshall Elementary Library isn’t just about books. Students are also participating in activities that incorporate science, technology, and engineering along with books!
6th grade listened to the book Balloons Over Broadway in which students learned about Tony Sarg, the inventor of the balloons for the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade. Then, students designed and created a balloon representing an animal or book character for the Marshall Library Thanksgiving Parade. To incorporate technology, the students attached their balloon to a robot, Dash, and drove the robot on the parade route. There was a lot of creativity and problem solving strategies used to decorate the balloons and attach the balloons to the robots!
