Barbie was quite adventurous this week. She decided she was bored and wanted to go bungee jumping! The first day of the adventure, Barbie jumped from various platforms in the classroom, as students figured out how long the bungee cord (made of rubber bands) should be to prevent head injury. Students kept accurate records.
The second day students were told where the "super secret" location for her big jump would be. Students were afforded the opportunity to view the location, which was at the top of the bleachers in the gym. They then went back to the classroom and secured the bungee cord to Barbie that they believed would get her as close to the ground as possible and yet prevent head injury. Then their estimates were tested.
