Cross Country Team Qualifies for STATE!

The Tornado Cross Country teams traveled to Burlington on Saturday for the 3A Regionals. The ladies punched their ticket for a trip to Wamego next Saturday. Those qualifying were Sr. Kelsey Vinson 6th overall with a time of 18:27. Jr. Brittany Harrington 11th overall with a time of 18:51.87, Jr. Ashley Herb 27th overall with a time of 21:07, Fr. Bailey Schmidt 28th overall with a time of 21:18, Jr. Cristal Ibarra 31st overall with a time of 21:22, and So. Hayle Randle 33rd overall with a time of 22:11.
Team placing's on the girls side were as follows:
1. Prairie Village-KCC
2. Eureka
3. Burlington
4. West Franklin
5. Wellsville
6. Central Heights
On the boys side Jr. Steven Howard will be the lone representative for the Tornadoes as he placed 5th overall with a time of 19:13. Sr. Ian Chavez also competed placing 39th overall with a time of 21:24.
Both teams will run at Wamego Country Club on Saturday. The 1A-4A will compete at this location. The boys race is schedule to start at 11:30 am. The girls race is scheduled to start at 12:30 pm.
