Learning Fun in Pre-K

October 02, 2023

We have been having a lot of fun in Pre-K so far this school year!

Pre-K students enjoyed learning all about butterflies during letter "B" week. They learned about their life cycle and that they first start out as an egg that hatches into a caterpillar, then the caterpillar forms a chrysalis around it, or cocoon, and then it comes out as a beautiful butterfly. For letter "C" week, students created letter "C" caterpillars by bunching up different colors of pieces of tissue paper to glue on to their caterpillar, helping to increase their fine motor skills. Also for letter “C” week, students learned about primary colors and what secondary colors they could make by mixing red, blue, and yellow together.

We are now getting ready to begin our Pumpkin Science Unit to investigate them since it is October!!
