What would you do if you were trapped in a snow globe? This question was posed to our second graders and they came up with some quite imaginative ideas. We have been working hard since our return from break on opinion writing. Students had to express their opinions on whether or not they would enjoy being stuck in a snow globe or not. They had to use their creativity and imagination to write about how they would feel, what their snow globe would look like, what they would do while they were inside, and if they would choose to stay or leave. They also got to make snow globes with their pictures inside to go along with their writing. We have had so much fun with this writing project!
