Training Opportunities with Butler's Career and Workforce Education Department

There are a few new training opportunities that Butler Community College is exploring through Butler's Career and Workforce Education Dept., and it's an affordable way to gain basic skills to enter the construction industry.
Please see the attached flyer for a summer boot camp opportunity for students to fast-track a fiber optics certification. This boot camp is no-cost for students that are 17-19 years old. Questions can be directed to the Workforce Center at workforce@butlercc.edu or 316.323.6118.
There is also an opportunity for professional floor covering training. Please see the attached flyer.
There will be 2 different schedules.
1.) The attached flyer highlights the Feb. 27th start with 2 weekends (Friday/Saturdays), 9 p.m. - 5 p.m. $500 per person.
2.) High School Summer Boot Camp, June 8th - 11, ages 17-19, potentially at NO COST to the student.

PROFESSIONAL FLOORCOVERING TRAINING - FEBRUARY
Professional Floorcovering Basics of Ohio—an NAHB member and approved trainer in Kansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan—is bringing a hands‑on 4‑day, 32‑hour Flooring Basics Boot Camp to Butler Community College – Andover.
This immersive training provides real‑world, industry‑standard flooring skills that employers are actively seeking.
Training Schedule:
Feb. 27–28 & March 6–7
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Butler of Andover
Cost: $500
Special Opportunity: Unemployed individuals age 20+ can attend for just $100.
