Music Festivals and Concerts

Spring is always a busy time for the music department snd this year has been no exception. Over the past month we have participated in Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival in El Dorado and State Large Ensemble Festival in Arkansas City.
Seven Students from the High School Band participated in Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, March 28th. All of the students performed vey well.
The Eureka Saxophone Quartet - (Jersey Cox, Celona Hall, Brooke Jonhnson, and Kimber Olsen) Received a 1 rating
Owen Morris (Baritone Solo) - Received a 2 rating
Alaina Westerman (Clarinet Solo) - Received a 1 rating
Elyssa Wood (Flute Solo) - Received a 1 rating
All students who received 1 ratings will travel to Salina to play in the State Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, April 25th.
On Thursday, March 16th the High School Band received a 1 rating at the State Large Ensemble Festival held at Arkansas City High School. This is a huge achievement for the groupl
In addition to all of this, the Band will travel to Worlds of Fun in May to perform for the Worlds of Fun Festival of Music snd is also preparing for the Pops Concert on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
