Fractions, Fractions, and MORE FRACTIONS!

Fourth Graders are busy with Eureka Math Module 5 which mean Fractions, Fractions, and More Fractions! Our 4th grade curriculum is loaded with eleven state standards. These standards will be tested on in April during the Kansas State Assessments. Students are learning about equivalent fractions and soon they will be able to compare fractions. It’s always nice and kind to share, but we’re learning the more people you share with the smaller the pieces. Students are drawing tape diagrams to model decomposing fractions and then showing a number bond. They will also learn to add, subtract, and multiply fractions by a whole number. At the end of the module we will be making the connections of how fractions can also be decimals.
