Family Fun Nights

October 26, 2026

Title Sponsored Family Fun Nights

2nd & 3rd Grade Family Fun Night — September 16, 2026

The first 2026–2027 Title Family Fun Night was held Wednesday, September 16, at Marshall Elementary for 2nd and 3rd grade families. Third grade attendance was 25 of 35 families (71%). Second grade had an attendance of 20/27 families (74%). The overall attendance for the combined grades was 45/62 (73%) The evening began with teachers introducing themselves, followed by Mrs. Rucker and Mrs. Hoover explaining the Title services available to students and families. Families participated in two 25-minute activities. Outside, students played wiffle ball in teams while parents cheered and participated alongside their children. In the gym, students, parents, and siblings enjoyed bowling, with many spares and strikes! The evening concluded with lemonade and cookies in the commons. Parents also completed a brief survey to provide feedback on the activities. The event provided a positive opportunity for Title families to connect with teachers, engage with each other, and enjoy time together.

4th & 5th Grade Family Fun Night — October 7, 2026

Marshall Elementary Title sponsored a Family Fun Night for 4th and 5th grade students and their families on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Fourth grade attendance was 28/35 for 80%. Fifth grade had an attendance of 21/30 for 70%. The combined attendance was 49/65 (75%). To begin the evening, everyone was welcomed by Principal Coulter, and the teachers introduced themselves. A grade-level group photograph was taken before students and families were dismissed to begin their rotations through two fun and engaging activities. Earlier in the day, fourth-grade students had designed and built eight holes of mini golf using a variety of materials, including cardboard, jump ropes, trash baskets, and hula hoops. The collaboration demonstrated by each small group as they designed and built their mini-golf holes was amazing! Everyone soon discovered that some of the holes were quite challenging. Families had a great time “golfing” their way through portions of the course. The second activity was a Bridge Building STEM Challenge. The goal was to build a bridge that could hold a small pumpkin. Families were limited to using tongue depressors, clothespins, tape, wood blocks, and a pumpkin. Their creativity and problem-solving skills were impressive! Some bridges were long, some were tall, and others were simply unique. The evening ended with lemonade and cookies. Parents were also asked to complete a quick survey to provide feedback and help the Title program continue to improve future Family Fun Nights. It was a wonderful evening of creativity, teamwork, and family fun!
